Raised in Kailua on O'ahu and inspired by the natural beauty and resources of the Hawaiian Islands, Leana recognized and explored the power of Nature’s gifts from an early age. Kailua was Leana’s home until she left for college in Massachusetts, where she studied Advertising Arts, Business, and Communication. After graduating in 1991, she moved to California where she enjoyed a successful career in marketing and public relations for over a decade, in both the private and non-profit sectors. After meeting her professional goals in that industry, she studied to become a yoga instructor and a nutritionist, following her passion of helping others live a healthy lifestyle.
